dont know how far this is true. Around the time when Gautam Menon's first film Minnale was released, there was a talk going around that Gautam & the producers initially wanted AR Rahman for Minnale. But since ARR was busy at that time, ARR suggested HJs name since HJ had already worked with him for Mudhalvan.
