*Hariharan gives Bollywood a miss! * *The singer talks about his Bollywood grouse, new album and mentor AR Rahman * Getting mobbed by the kids in Kerala and shooting in the scenic backwaters has been one of the best experiences for singer Hariharan who is a part of the album 'Tanhai'. The album has an underlying theme of loneliness and the singer in his soulful voice has rendered the track 'Kuch der tak kuch door tak'. "It's a laidback track with a storyline depicting loneliness," he says. Quiz him about the lonely moments in his life, and Hariharan says, "I might be performing for a huge audience but once I'm in my changing room, I feel lonely all of a sudden; it's a switch on, switch off situation." The singer is now gearing up for his next album 'For You' which has a string of romantic numbers. "I have been working on it for the past two years and have consciously worked on evolving the album," he explains. Hariharan, whose recent work with AR Rahman includes a track on 'Guru', credits the composer for bringing him into the limelight. "He has been instrumental in my career and in showcasing my voice both in Bollywood and down South. We work well as a team," says the singer who feels that Bollywood hasn't given him the deserving acknowledgement. "I don't do too many Bollywood projects because I don't get too many offers and honestly, I have moved on to doing my own thing," he ends. -- Regards, V SRINIVASA KRISHNAN
