i'm scared...the leaked songs of Shivaji have no business being in a Shankar movie....especially a Shankar/ARR movie....at the very least..Sivaji's songs need to be better than thos of Anniyan (which was a fantastic soundtrack)...it would be shameful to all of us AR Rahman fans if Harris Jayraj deivered a better album for Shankar than ARR.
Indian, Kadhalan, Jeans, Mudhalvan, Boys....all 10/10 soundtracks (i hate "ottakatiko" from Gentleman..but other than that that soundtrack is terrific...so 8.5-9/10 for that)...that is the track record which ARR must perform.... i don;'t think i'm exaggerating when i'm saying that this is the most important soundtrack in ARR's career as far as his standing in the tamil industry is concerned...the film undoubtedly will become a huge hit..and most likely will be great..shankar KNOWS how to picturize a song...and how to integrate it well...so this is a GREAT opportunity for ARR to deliver a magnum opus...he won't have to worry about his songs going unrecognized (how could people have neglected the great songs of "kangalal Kaidhu Sei"...one of his 10 best in tamil?)....however..if he falters......it will be the ultimate black mark in a glorious career...
