Hey Guys, Have been listening to sivaji songs for past couple of days.Thought i wud share my listening experience and my review : 1st listening : 1.Athirathee - hmm...lot of western beats,arr voice sucks.why the hell he is singing such kind of song???? 2.Balleileka - Wat has spb and rahman done? oh my god.. 3.Oru Koodai Sunlight -- listened for a min,i am not able to withstand it,horrible,horrible,go to next song 4.The Boss - nice music,not able to understand much of lyrics,an ok song 5.Sahana - good melody,cool song. 6.Sahana - better than previous version of udit,vijay voice is good. 7.Vaaji Vaji - had huge expectations from this song,disappointed,an Ok Kind of song. 2nd listening : 1.Athirathee - Great music,rahman singing is kinda ok,nothing great 2.Balleika - sounds ok,not an extrodianry song. 3.Oru Koodai Sunlight - Yak ,horrible song,straighty away move to next song. 4.The boss - A song that may suit rajini well in the movie. 5.Sahana - Cool song,superbly sung by udit 6.Saahana - Superb 7.Vaaji Vaaji - grows a bit on me,a good song. After 3,4,5,6....hearings i wud like to review the songs as below : 1.Athiradee : Stunning song.Wow,i wonder how rahman chooses songs so aptly,Suoperb western touch,with a great tune.Also a special mention to the co singers of Karthik & Naresh Iyer.The song is so infectious, it took me 3-5 hearings to get addicted to this song.Rahman's high pitch singing is like Sachin coming down the track for every ball and hitting the ball out of stadium.This song is just STUNNING. From Shankar side,expect lot of graphics in this song,i feel,with great sets and lighting. Rating : 5 / 5 2.Balleika This seems like an Rajini's introducttory song.Nothing great in the tune,an ordinary tune but wat makes the song work is : 1.SPB's Singing 2.Very Very Apt lyrics 3.Rahman's improvisation even in this village song. Picturisation of this song is gonna be a acid test for Shankar,as it will be a new experience for shankar.I am sure shankar will not disappoint us. Rating : 3.5 / 5 3.Oru Koodai Sunlight This song took me 5 hearings to get infected ,and when it happened,it was just a great experience.Hats off to Rahman and shankar to do this kind of the song and that too for a rajini movie.It may even take a dozens of hearing to get addicted to this song.This song is gonna be the most favourite songs for the rajini fans.The female voice is also superb.the way tanvi sings is so cool.Rahman has put in so improvisations,that only a genius like him can compose these kind of songs.Amazing song,very apt for rajini.. Thus a New Anthem for Rajini is created. (I have become fan of Tanvi :-) ,even her JOK title song was good) Rating : 5 / 5 4.The BOSS : Again the music in the song is the high point,this song is likely to played in the BGM of some fight scene,Again a top notch effort from rahman.With lot of punch dialouges this song will go down well with the masses. Rating : 4 / 5 5.Saahana - Udit Version : Amazing Amazing melody from rahman.But the real hero for me in this song is Udit narayan,I have never been fan of hindi singers singing tamil song,but udit this time has hooked me off.Chinmayee is equally awesome.This song reminds of some old rahman - shankar song. This song will stand out to be one of evergreen songs of rahman and with shankar behind the camera and rajini in front of camera,this song will be huge huge hit , a song that will be heard for years to come. Expect a Visual Delight in this song from Shankar. Rating : 5 / 5 6.Sahana - Vijay Yesudas A slow version ,with vijay singing this time along with Gomathi.Vijay's voice is good,but i feel it wud have been even better if his dad wud have sung it.Overall,another superb song in the album. Rating : 4.5 / 5 7. Vaaji Vaaji Nothing extraodinary in tune wise,an averege song, but rahman with his innovation and music does make sure that this song is enjoyed by all.Who knows this song may be the most sought after song once the movie releases.I am still to fully get infected with this song. Rating : 3 / 5 Overall,an amazing album from rahman,he has been able to maintain his standard insipte of rajini's presence.Saahana & Oru Koodai sunlight will be rage for long time,and if athirathee is picturised on rajini then add this song also to the list. Wish Araraikodi(Aa Aaha) wud have been rajini's intro song in the album
