hi.. i think alaipyuthey was a fantastic movie ..with mind boggling songs.....so maybe you expected Mani only take hard-hitting movies...in alaipayuthey the genre was light one...in that context it was gr8..the bgm was also gr8 and about the saathiya being better...no idea i always believe that the orginal sounds better..(m not taking linguistic sides!!!)..i think the closest being dil se and uyire ,uyire had amazing lyrics in sync with the music...otherwise i thnk the orginal always scores over!!! and abt the rankings ..i concorde to most of the order except maybe Nayagan and Thalapathi...which i think need a higher rating!!!
