Yah ! during d period of mayiliragey composition........., rehman was dining
with us at murugan idli shop. he was so urgent & told us had to go soon to
finish remaining 10% of the song dat was incompleted by rafi. thats why he is
called for.... for little participation in projects like BD, LOTR & elizabeth
shunting btween chennai london & scotland. Within all these interestingly he
sang tera bina composed by one of his associates. guys dont imagine upside
down.
he will instruct his associates to get draft sounds of what he expect &
written his composition b4 finalising it & only by him. he shall work out with
2 to 3 drafts b4 choosing one right combination of sounds & vocals. he also
give due credit to musicians to appreciate & accept if something sound special
from them unexpectedly while in composition. it is a team work initially
created, suggested, guided & headed by captain rahman. As u say it is not 20%.
Rahman scores r 80% by rahman only & 20% consist addl. programming by others
dat too under rahman's supervision. nobody can work separately without rahmans
supervision. obviously he will extract work from others in addl. program by
telling what he want in it. Acrcoding to u, if he has only 20% work mean he has
composed only 2 songs in a movie like kisna kinda movies. water too announce
songs by rahman & bgms by other person. these r such open indication when
rahman is partly involved. otherwise rahmans involvement is complete. it wld b
of much helpful to clear their doubts if any of rahmsns friend cld explain it
better.
