YES I Watched SIVAJI the first day in the so called night show which was ultimately made as second day early morning show… the show time was 10… but ultimately it started by 11 45 due to heavy crowd and traffic jam…
Now to the movie…!!! It's on and on a full length masala movie with all the needed ingredients… if you are looking for comedy yes it is there… romance yes there… action there… graphics yes there… sentiment there… name any genre, you will see that in the movie... with a bit a boring element too and of course another bit of KARUTHU(message) in it… When the movie started with the AVM traditional music… the whole theatre was on its feet… then came the newly polished superstar's name… in a new style… there again I could hear nothing but shouts, yells, growls and whistles… I think it had some music… The first half of the movie is packed fully with comedy, love and bit of story… it is towards the interval the story gets started and from there on it moves at a good pace with small breaks in between… the movie revolves around Rajni and nothing but Rajni… with good supporting performance by SUMAN, Vivek and others… But unfortunately I couldn't see much of Shanker's touch in the movie except for the song and fight sequences… I felt he has compromised a lot for the Brand Rajni and style… but of course as I said to nullify the same, you have the song sequences… Wow…!!! Wow…!!! Wow…!!! It is worth watching the movie just for the ATHIRADEE song… the art work in SAHANA… Rajni's hair style in VAAJI VAAJI… and again Rajni's style and HAIR Style in ORU KOODAI SUNLIGHT… its just ineffable… I was really satisfied that the whooping ticket amount which was sold to me for twice the actual rate in the counter is worth even more than that… HATS OFF TO SHANKER FOR SHOWING ALTOGETHER A DIFFERENT RAJNI… I don't think i should review the music here... cos it goes without saying that ARR rocks... and re recording... its impossible to hear any music on the first day so i m sure i will watch the movie again only then can talk about that... But time and again he proves in all movies (barring ANNIYAN) that he is really very bad in designing the climax… I don't get why Shanker is so obsessed about the MATRIX FILM AND ITS STUNT SEQUENCE… But whatever it is it was an outright enjoyment watching the movie… May be I think the movie would have appeared much better without all these hypes and gizmos by the media and esp these 24x7 NEWS CHANNELS… In all SIVAJI ROCKS with a bit a jarring noise… with regards Karthikeyamurthy.J
