I think i can comment on reasons to choose ARR over HJ for Hindi Ghajini...
1. Aamir Khan trusts ARR more than anyone else....
2. Tamil Ghajini had 2 mesmarizing songs and rest were Ok sort of songs.
3. HJ's music had a lot of South Indian touch in Ghajini which may not be
acceptable in Hindi.
Remember what happened to Nayak songs. Great songs in South India but just a
luke warm response in the north. Imagine Baba song which was re-used in
Swades... It sounded better in Hindi than in Telugu/ Tamil. Some songs sound
beautiful in South Indian languages... others in Hindi... some in both... ARR
knows the pulse...
The reason why most of the South Indian MDs could not succeed in North is
this. MDs like HJ, Yuvvan although much more talented than many Hindi MDs could
not build their empire because of this reason.
Apart from ARR and SEL who know the pulse of audience...others find it
difficult to establish themselves in Bollywood.
