I dont agree Rasathi... is a simple song. Don't ever tell that. As a fan, you can be proud that Rahman has composed that song. Listen to the song, no instruments used, but the vocals as interludes and bgm. What a composition !!!
Thats one reason I;d say Thiruda Thiruda a complete album. It has everything in it.. You have Chandralekha on one end, Rasathi at the other. You get Veerapaandi kotayilae, Putham Puthu Boomi, Thee Thee(One of my all time favourite - And perhaps, even Rajni has told this is one of his favourite songs). And have you closed your eyes and watched(heared) the movie? Listen to the background score. A young man at the age of 25 has done it to its perfection. Can talk a lot on Thiruda Thiruda alone... My view of simplest song would be Eachampazhalam , navapazham , (Vadivel, Kovai sarala song in Pavithra). Cheers, Bergin
