1) Maru Mallelo (slow and melodious with hardly two instruments, Song played
during the titles in the Film Amrutha in Telugu-A Maniratnam film based on one
small girl, acted by Madhavan, Simran)
2) Vennala Vennala (Slow melody sung by Unni Krishnan in the film Premadesham
- Abbas, Vineet and tabu. It is played when Vineeth and Abbas go to meet Tabu
and sing this song... great picturization too)
3) Nahin Samne (Superb master peice from Taal)
4) Ye jo desh hai tera (No need to describe about this heart touching song)
5) Luka chhuppi (Another song with nightingale and maestro's combi making
everyone's eyes wet while watching it in the movie)
6) Pedave palikina maatallone (Mother song from film Naani in Telugu, New in
Tamil, You can't resist it listening completely once started, Excellent score
by our Maestro, it remains ever green song through out film industry of our
country)

(Oke okkadu in Telugu, equivalent to Saiyya song from Nayak in Hindi), Andaala
Rakshasive (Oke Okkadu), Pachhani chilukalu (Bharateeyudu, same as Pyaare
panchi from Hindustaani in Hindi), and amny more...
Apart from filme songs the private albums are also in the same category:
songs from album Vandemataram: Vandemataram, Vandemataram (reprising), Gurus
of Peace are all in the same list.

resist listing these when discussing about my favs flicks of ARR. :)

I just compiled a list of ARR songs that are special in a different way. These
songs bring tears to my eyes whenever I listen to them (dont know if others
feel the same). These songs might not be highly sentimental but they've managed
to touch my soul.
Here is my top 5:
1. Poongatrile/Yeh Ajnabi from Uyire/Dil Se - (both versions are equally
effective).
2. Aazadi from Bose - The Forgotten Hero (ARR's voice and the chorus are
awesome)
3. Tamizha Tamizha - Roja (the music & picturization has a combined effect)
4. Yeh Jo Des Hai Tera - Swades (gr8 lyrics & amazing rendition)
5. Yeh Tara Woh Tara - Swades (the combo of Udit's voice, 2 different kids'
voice does the trick)
of course i can go on with more but i'll stop with top 5 for now
