A few days back in Ajman, I was working on my notebook and in the background I
was listening to bombay dreams in a sheesha joint. The local who was sitting at
the next table asked if I can give him this track. I gave it to him and I made
him listen to dil se, humma and some other gems as well. He liked the starting
note of humma especially where Rehman plays the keyboards in the start.
He told me that in the local channels (I knew abt that) especially during
airing football, at half times or even a team looses they play Bombay dreams.
He has heard about him
but didn;t know that he is a legend. He finally wanted humma, dil se, oh hum
dum, roja, and a couple of other tracks.
One more addict.......
Rahman keeps people hooked irrespective of borders.
