Writer and filmmaker Mansoor Khan who retired from Bollywood is all set to make his comeback. Mansoor, who once launched his cousin brother Aamir Khan, has returned to Bollywood as producer to launch his nephew in a big way. Mansoor is the co producer of Aamir Khan's forthcoming film Jaane Tu Ya Jane Na which will also mark known-writer Abbas Tyrewala's directorial debut. According to a close friend of Mansoor Khan, "Mansoor decided to quit filmmaking after Josh . He was away from the world, and shifted base to Ooty for several years. Mansoor decided to make come back when he came to know that his cousin Nauzhat's son Imraan is making his debut." Jane Tu Ya Jane Na was initially supposed to be produced by Jhamu Sughand but things didn't fall into place and Aamir came to rescue of his nephew's debut project. Himesh Reshammiya, who was initially to compose music for the film was replaced by AR Rahman, Aamir'favourite. Manjari who is making her debut in Vikram Bhatt's Mumbai Salsa , will also be a part of this one. About her co-actor and Aamir's nephew, she says, "I mraan has his own acting style but yes he believes in the detailing of his character just like his uncle Aamir Khan. He is a very sincere and hardworking guy. Aamir visited us on the sets twice or thrice, when we were shooting in Panchgani, as he was shooting his own film Taare Zameen Pe there at the same time. He gave his guidance and creative inputs to Imraan. They are all very supportive of each other. Though Mansoor Khan is the co-producer of the film, he was always present during the shoots. He took part in everything except direction, which was solely handled by Abbas Tyrewala." This romantic comedy has brought cousins Aamir and Mansoor Khan together once again. And we're sure that no stone is going to be left unturned to launch this newbie Khan in a big way. Interestingly Mansoor, who was responsible for Aamir Khan's first big hit Qyamat Se Qyamat Tak , made many careers – that of Juhi Chawla's, Udit Narayan's, Alka Yagnk's. His and Aamir's combination worked wonderfully well. The duo worked together in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander and Akele Hum Akele Tum . Though he always worked with cousin Aamir and gave remarkable films, Josh was the only film that did not star Aamir but Shah Rukh instead.
