Rahman has produced "emotional gems" mostly with his voice in a song. His voice really makes me restless. There is this special melancholy feeling, some pain / sad memories from the past, in his voice. He has mentioned his sad memories of his childhood and hardships from time to time ( more clearly in the interview given to Simi Garewal on Star World ). If not his voice in a song, his instrumental pieces definitely make a haunting and lasting impression when one listens. How can we forget the Bombay theme ? 5 songs which make ME emotional, a.
