hello friends, i am b prasanna, ive been a very active member/a crazy rahmaniac of this community a long while ago and my net usage pattern changed in the past couple of years and my involvement in this group was restricted to merely viewing the messages once in a while and getting updates on the rahman scene. maybe a few old members mite remember me here.
i am a student in singapore. am basically from chennai, doing my engineering course over here. i have recently written & directed a short film. the music is scored by my friend r.raghavendra. my major inspirations are mani rathnam and kamal hassan from the indian film circle, however mr ar rahman was the SOLE REASON and factor behind any artistic motivation when i was 6 years old. (am 21 now). he inspired me to compose music and also towards all art as a whole, made me think and made me love. rahman ismy love. not only for me, but for my entire crew; he was and is our idol in so many ways. i termed this post semi-arr because if not for rahman, probably i wudnt have been inspired towards anything majorly. this is my first short film and i hope to look forward to your reviews and encouragement. please do watch it if you find time. heres the link: 'Crying in the Dark' - short film. running time: 26 minutes. Part 1 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ki_qsY67YNs Part 2 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmS8aJQ5DbQ Part 3 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QezzWUIciY8 thankyou so much. the music for this film was composed by my friend r raghavendra, who is another rahmaniac. It was performed by the Madras Strings Quartet. I would be happy to pass your feedback, if any to him and to my entire team, which comprises of all students from singapore and chennai. its our first effort together. thanks a lot for your time. warmest regards, b prasanna bp
