Snippets about ARR in the print media this week -

...He's just recorded a 60-piece string section live because the synth sound
didn't satisy him.
A.R.Rahman once laughed with amazement at Aamir's ability to locate an off-note
in a track with

The usually reclusive A.R.Rahman seemed quite happy to come out and promote The
Golden Age with
Shekhar. Calling Rahman a genius, he informs us, "Rahman and I have been very
good friends and
trusting each other helps. We worked on the Broadway musical Bombay Dreams
together, then we
did some ads and then of course Elizabeth: The Golden Age. Our next project
will be A Suitable
Cockroach which is an animation film." Shekhar adds that Rahman had composed a
wonderful piece
of music for The Golden Age, which actors would ask to be played so they could
feel the emotion
of the scene better. Unfortunately, the producers took it out because they
thought it was too
'Eastern' for the film.
