.....at least I don't think he is.  This guy's knowledge of music and 
films in general is exceptional.  I see his posts at naachgaana.com 
and he is one of the most intellectually minded and informed fans of 
quality music and movies out there.  Here's what he says in response 
to a rediff article listing the top soundtracks of 2007 (which does 
include Guru):

"Guru actually released in `06. But if we're going by release date of 
the film then this is easily the best soundtrack of the year. Rahman's 
only competition is with himself. There have been no other Hindi 
Rahmans this year. Next year the best soundtrack will be either JA or 
Gajni. I don't say this dogmatically. There is just no comparison 
between Rahman and anyone else in any sense of the word."
