I had a similar kind of experience. I went to buy
'Kadhalan' cassette from singsons electronics in
Trivandrum(Now it is kolams). I just asked the shop
keeper to play the song, And he played urvashi urvashi
(begining portion)for me again he reversed the
cassette and played mukkala muqabla(ending portion).
It was really mind blowing. An english couple was
there purchasing some english stuffs and they heard
this they asked me which was the album. That time i
was too poor at communicating in english and I somehow
told them that it is 'kadhalan', They purchased the
cassette and I was too much surprised on that.
Again my brother had a friend from US, his name is
karsten shoer. He visited our home and even he had a
copy of humse hai muqabla with him.
ARR is the best.
