We were the first to report Tamil director Shankar was signing

new film,
*Robot*. And days after we published it, comes the official press release
confirming it.

*Robot* was first offered to Shah Rukh Khan

] and then Aamir Khan

], but both actors stepped down, making way for the Superstar himself to
work with his *Sivaji *director again. The film will be produced in Tamil,
Hindi, Telugu and other languages. It will be a high-tech film with state of
art technology, the press release said. Director Shankar is at the moment
finalising all the other technicians for the film which will be announced
shortly, it said. A R Rahman will score the music.
