BOSE - was initially set to be a dual-CD release (complete score w/ songs). I was told that TIMES Music was even given the 2 masters. But they compiled what they sought fit and released in 1.

The background score of several movies have been released in the past.

Anbe Aaruyire was the first and only so far, for ARR, although it was an unauthorized release
ripped from the DVD and a pretty shoddy job at that.

NSCB-TFH carried the background score on the same CD as the songs.

As farback as I can recall, Satya was the first to have a CD of it's background score released. Yashraj has released background scores of Veer Zaara and possibly other films of their's.

ARR had background scores readied for a CD release for Mangal Pandey and Rang De Basanti. But
they were shelved for reasons best known to the music labels.
