*Song analysis* - The first word that comes to mind on listening the track '
*Azeem-O-Shaan Shahensha*' from the movie *Jodhaa Akbar* is 'wow'! *Music
director A.R. Rahman* has once again proven his mettle with this song, which
has some superb *lyrics *penned by none other than *Javed Akhtar* himself.
The beats in the song are captivating, and after a long time comes a song
which is so sodden with the rich Indian culture, reminiscent of the bygone
era which spoke of streams of gold and so on. The song is rich in the number
of *instruments *as well, that have been used in it,with everything from
nagadas, wooden sticks to the beats of ghungroos, adding to the charm of
this song. The song is as *magnanimous *as the personailty of it's title
character, Akbar. With this song, there is only one prediction to be done:
this song is here to stay for a long time to come. A.R. Rahman had delivered
some great musical scores in *Guru *, exactly an year back, in January 2007.
He comes back with his trademark style this time as well, and he has used
everything from the majestic voices of the *singer Mohd. Aslam*, along with
*Bonny Chakravarti *to help add that credibility to the score, and the use
of the *chorus *in this song lifts it several notches higher than the usual
run-of-the-mill stuff that is churned out by most of Bollywood music
directors. Go on! Play the song, and be transferred to another time zone,
while testing the power of your speakers! *Hail the king, A.R. Rahman!*
