this is my personal opinion on Jodha Akbar music
AZEEM -O -SHAAN SHAHENSHA:
this song is very very opulently composed by rahman--the horn sound, the
percusions, thumps, the chorus all are eloquent. The chorus is so impulsing and
the back ground percussion makes it a perfect praising song. then comes the
sword rythms which again proves that rahman is so innovative with his sounds.
What I loved the most in this song is the part between 3:46 to 4:40 and the
last chorus part, which I cannot describe in words, that can be felt only by
heart. Every time the chorus sings each time it gives a electric impulse
feeling as in it shows that Akbar is really great, the dheem thom chorus part
gives us a picture of the power of Akbar and greatness of Rahman. We can enjoy
each and every bit of this song.
JASH-E-BAHARAA:
this one is a singers song. I think that the credit to this song should go to
Javed Ali (of course after Rahman) for so beautifully presenting the song. This
one is simple and sweet song and has not many layers like the previous one. The
tabla are sounds and santoor sounds are so melodious.Just one or two layers
which makes it very sweet one. This shows Rahman is capable of composing a
grand song even with not many layers in it. The song is so grand melody song,
this shows why he is called THE KING OF MELODY. A perfect romantic song
KWAJA MERE KWAJA:
honestly speaking the first time I heard the song it did not grew on me but
for the very next time I heard I learned that it was amazingly beautiful song.
With this I can understand why Rahman is called the MAGICIAN. Now I am
listening to this one the most number of times. Rahman's voice is the main
attraction in this song, he sung so beautifully, its so divine voice. Each and
every word which comes out of Rahman's mouth show us paradise. This song is
made in heaven by musical god a r rahman. Whenever I stop playing the CD this
song wanders in my mind, the sound of kwaja mere kwaja with rahman's voice
echoes in my mind and I keep on singing myself- Kwaja mere kwaja. The multi
-layered vocals are amazing. Whenever Rahman comes from anthra to mukuda again
and sings kwaja mere kwaja it gives me goose bumps, I feel like to bow down
before Rahman
Inn Lamhon Ki Daaman Mein:
Initially I thought this one is another different romantic & melody song like
Jash-e-bahara but no, its a different song. This is a song with a lot of
variations. This one starts with a melody tune and suddenly goes to a different
groove and with a nice chorus. Sonu nigam's voice is impressive and chorus is
also so good. The santor used through the song is melodious. the transformation
from the mukuda part to anthra is done very well and the return to mukuda again
is outstanding. i think this song depicts how jodha and akbar get united.
Man Mohana:
I do not know why many did not liked this one but personally I really liked the
song, just hearing to the singers voice makes me to listen it again. Bela
Shende did an excellent job, she sings on varied scales and pace through the
song thats beautiful. The flute vocals used remin me of Taal. I can suggest you
a way to like the song, just start with listening to only this song and do
not listen to other numbers before this one and just close your eyes and listen
how the singer sings through the song, her voice itself makes the song a nice
one . Sometimes it sounds like Ahistha Ahistha from Swades. I think its a
situation oriented song and we will like it definitely while watching the film.
I became a great fan of Bela Shende of this song. the song is growing on me
each time I listen to it
Intrumentals:
Both the instrumentals are excellent no need to mention this specifically
because when Rahman composes an instrumental its always mind blowing. Navin
again did magic with his flute . We can hear two types of flute vocals through
the song that makes this one a different one and Kwaja mere Kwaja instrumental
shows that why Rahman is innovative in using different kinds of musical
instruments like Oboe so nicely. I am sure this one will give a greater impact
