In fact, all the lifts and inspirations from ARR's music should be brought out here. When there are rumors (and mostly remains that) that ARR has lifted or got inspired, there are way too many people waiting for a chance to have a take on ARR. (Success comes at a price :) )

Yes knowing them might add to your listening experience, but not knowing them doesn't stop one from enjoying music. Music is not a game, where you need to know the rules to follow the game. Its an art. Art appeals to the senses, not to the mind. If music were only for connoisseurs, it would not have become such a popular form of art.
