Thats very humble of AR Rahman. IMHO, Rahman is the only current Music composer in India who could have done justice to a movie of this magnitude. 'No One' could have come close.
May be to some extent Ilaiyaraja, but his music doesnt have nationwide/international appeal. It mostly caters Tamil / South Indian music tastes.
