Hello Ronojoy, Thanks for the clarifications. I remember reading a biography on Rahman long time back and like me whosoever has read it, is aware of this "in general" BUT your new input certainly adds to the correctness !
FRANKLY, Rahman's or to the matter of fact, any person's religion or his religious beliefs should not be a matter of discussion as you rightly said. It is something very personal and individual matter as each one of us looks to various routes to achieve inner peace. As the famous sanakrit verse says ( in part) "Sarve devo namaskaraha, Keshavam prati gacchati !" Call that power any name, still it does wonders. So a rose by any other name still smells sweet, just like Rahman's music...... Rightly said by you, Religion is better not discussed on this forum.
