I feel thankful to live in the same era as Rehman. This is truly history in the making. As Rehman scales one peak after another, you cant help but wonder how he finds inspiration to keep going. Its one thing to have talent and its another thing to have an unsurpassable thirst for perfection. In his own words, he sums up this art (of composing songs) as the process of adding layers to a song, trying to increase its beauty till its no longer possible to do so. There are many great people but blessed are those who can sum up their skill in simple words! Coming back to this song, the marriage of hindu and islamic sounds is prominent in this song as it is in almost every other track in this album.
