Received the LOTR CD from amazon.co.uk today.. The CD, DVD-A pack is in prestine form.. The booklet enclosed has two discs, Lyrics, details of musicians and about recording.
Coming to music, I am impressed by the kind of music they put togather for this musical. A very nice fusion of classical music with modern touch. (I did not see any of the LOTR movies yet..so.. I cannot compare with movie score) Not just our ARR but Vartinna and Chistopher Nitingale have done a splendid job. The recording is crystal clear, we can feel each and every ting and tring of the orchestra. My pick of the album for now is 11.The Seige of the City of Kings which has ARR written all over it. Those who have heard knows what I mean :) 10. Lothlorien is another track I liked very much. However, The track I was looking fwd to the most 6.The Song of Hope..is left simple may be for a purpose. I did not try the DVD-A disc yet.. Overall, the album is very neat.. A collector's edition for sure. By the way, Naveen is the only musician of ARR I could notice. Krishna Chetan and Sivakumar are other two in huge team of may be 100+. Mixed at AMStudios Chennai. Regards Raghu
