Sitar pieces played in Mughal e azam are different..that of played in 
JA..I myself Play 'Sarod'..
Instrument used in JA for 'in lamhon ke ' or 'jashn e bahara' is oud.
oud has sound tone in between rabab and sarod..its persian/afgani 
instrument..
