Siddharth Roy Kapoor, EVP-Marketing Distribution, Syndication, UTV Motion Pictures said, "We are very, very upbeat about the sustained performance of the movie. When asked about the initial apprehensions and the risk factors involved in making a historical saga, Kapoor said, "Obviously, you do consider many aspects very carefully in any movie that you commit to making. But in this case, we knew the capabilities of Ashutosh as a director. We also knew that if there was anyone who can translate the vision of Jodhaa Akbar onto screen, then, it's him. We were very confident about that."
