Hi mate and all, I would like to clarify a few things here. The only other movie that affected me big time was GURU. I had to watch Guru 5 times in cinemas. That was my tribute to the excellence achieved by the rare combination of "Rajiv Menon - A R Rahman - Mani Ratnam" in Guru. I knew it was a chance of a life time and i am still proud that i extracted every bit that i could from that movie. My long reviews are still there at this site with headings as:
GURU : After watching 4th time (For Rahman this time) [Message no. 75211] Extension: GURU : After watching 4th time (For Rahman this time) [Message no. 75220] (semi-arr) GURU : After watching 3rd time (only for Rajiv Menon) [Message no. 75180] I have been (and will be) a big fan of Mani Sir. On the other hand i have seen Jodhaa Akbar only 2 times. I did not feel like writing any reviews even. But i surely felt that Visual and Sound (Combined) effect of the songs of Jodhaa Akbar has been huge, and compelled me to start this thread. Thanks, Pravinder. --- In [email protected], MusicFuzon <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > well pravinder!!! > i am really amazed how much dis movie has influenced u!!! > till now i didnt get the opportunity to watch the movie , but am going surely on dis weekend!!! > by now i have byhearted most of the reviews of thsi movie!!! > and i even knw the dialogous and the situations of the movie...Thanx to superb , detailed reviews by fellow rahmaniacs!!! > and am dying to hear the bgm!!!really!!! > i have anticipated lots of emotions...in the bgm... > and wen it come to love, OUR BOSS is the best ON EARTH to portay dat... > > yeah i agree that last few movies of ARR-MANI , were not as great as ROJA,BOMBAY, DILSE... > but still...i wud say..am lil biased towards this combination!!!dnt knw y!!! > still cant forget the picturization of chinna chinna asai, kadhal rojave, uyire, chaiya chaiya, tu hi tu.. > o man!!!breathtaking songs!!! > > hmmm..now am eager to watch ARR-ASHU combo too!!! > > well....sometimes i feel we sud even bring ARR - BHARATBALA combo too into consideration , wen it comes to best combination discussion.... > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Pravinder Sheoran <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > To: [email protected] > Sent: Thu, 21 Feb 2008 14:04:59 +0530 (IST) > Subject: [arr] Time now to accept ARR - Ashutosh combo as No. 1 in India > > Hi Guys, > After a lot lot of thinking process, i have come to the conclusion > that its time now to accept that ARR - Ashutosh combination has > surpassed ARR - Mani Ratnam combination (which has been no.1 for a > long long time now). > It may be that many times Rahman Saab composes out of the world songs > for Mani Ratnam and Mani Sir also comes out with many ground breaking > videos for A R Rahman many times. > > But when it comes to be a combined effect, i think ARR and Ashutosh > give more delightful output which is best in terms of situation handling > (I mean the songs are according to the situation of the movie) without > compromising the quality and taking care of popularity as well. > > Its really a tough decision though, i might be influenced by the > factor that JA has just been released and has a huge temporary effect > on my mind (Which may prove to be a permanent effect as well). > > AGREE or DISAGREE? > > Pravinder. >
