I'm not against discussing about how each director brings out the different
dimension to AR's music as long we stay on the subject of music.
What I'm against is that we are trying to rank these directors as no 1 & no 2 &
who's best & who's not... Which I think is a pointless thing to do, coz it's
never going to be a unanimous choice. & in this process we are almost fighting
within ourselves to prove the point. & it always hurts when I see AR fans
fighting over these kind of unnecessary things...
That's what I'm against...
Hope I'm clear enough now... n sorry if my word "pointless" hurt you in any
way...

Vishwesh.

Well, I am sorry that you find this whole thread pointless. I agree that we
are here because we love a r r and his divine music, as you put it. I disagree
one point though. For me ,over time I've realised that there is a difference in
his music depending on who he works with. Not necessarily bad but different.
Different ppl bring out a different dimension to his music and that's what so
beautiful about it. Since we don't share the same opinion on this matter I
won't go further into why I feel like this and I hope you respect my opinion on
this just as I respect yours that it's 'pointless' to characterise a.r.r music
to anyone he's worked with. For everyone else who wants to pick their fav
combo, please do go ahead. I am sure there will be some of us in the group
who'd be interested to know which pair is more popular. I don't think we want
to achieve anything from doing this. It's called curiosity. If someone was
doing a PhD on rahman, then they'd be interested in this
too
