I'm talking about all of India, but specifically focused on the North where he has been the most successful of late. You take the music of RDB+Guru+JA...and what do you get? A resounding blockbuster trio of success!
Go to youtube and type any of the songs from RDB, Guru, JA, and read the comments from viewers. Just overwhelming praise and affection for ARR, albeit maybe from fans, but recent music sales all over for these three albums prove my point. If we could graph ARR's mass popularity up North, you would see him peak in the mid to late 90s and early 2000s, then dip prior to RDB, but pick up dramatically since RDB to now. Post Saathiya and Prior to RDB, heard many babbling about how ARR has lost it, etc (except for us and critical music lovers!) But, he has really struck back and captured the hearts of Indians everywhere in the past three films from North to South. Even in Tamil, he has had tremendous success with Shivaji, JOK, ATM to a certain extent. I think the graph is only going to go higher by the time this year is done......Ghajni, Jaane Tu, Adda, Yuvraaj, Hindi Shivaji, Dilli 6.....wow!
