The noted South Indian music director A.R. Rahman will be performing live in the UAE next month. Scheduled to be held on April 18 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, this premier musical extravaganza hopes to see over 30,000 people attending. Productions Sponsored by Eastern Masala, it will host a live show with A. R. Rahman for the third time in the UAE. The musical night features leading playback and pop singers from Bollywood as well as Tollywood accompanying A.R. Rahman, in the event organised by the Dubai-based leading event organiser Oasis Promotions. A.R. Rahman composed the score for the stage production of The Lord of the Rings and also scored the music for the Hollywood production, Elizabeth - The Golden Age and the Chinese movie, Warriors of Heaven & Earth produced by Sony Pictures. Another popular Hindi track of Rahman, Chaiyya Chaiyya from the movie Dil Se was used in the opening credits of the movie, Inside Man featuring Academy Award winner, Denzel Washington.
