I totally second you, Thulasi The original did have good and effective BGMs and songs And this leaves Rahman with an even more challenging job since he is going to be pulled in to numerous comparisons, from both fans and critics, biased and fair.
Try not to compare, since Bollywood is another league and its mainstream movies are much more different from Tamil movies. Though the same story is being remade, some changes might have been done here and there.
