Dont go for headphones if you want to use it only for your ipod. High end headphones require more amplification than what an ipod can provide. Go for earphones instead. The best in the market for your budget is sennhesier (PMX series). Check out their website , cant recollect any. Also creative earphones which are very good are available for 1000 bucks.
