yesterday i had my first brush wid magic. i saw ar rahman live in
concert. but thts only a part of the magic. the other part was the
effect the music and the person had on the thousands who came to see
him. yesterday i realised why arr has such a huge fan base. his
music is the best in the world- no doubt abt it, but its arr the
person tht makes millions around the globe love him so much. its his
humility, honesty and warmth that we find irresitible. i know i cam
eback a bigger admirer of the phenomenon called arr.
the concert in itself was amazing. all the songs were flawless.
especially pray for me brother when he fell on his knees... it gave
me goosebumps. dil se, khwaja, vande mataram... oh the list is
endless. special mention has to be made of the vary nice way in
which blaaze introduced all the artists. the entire experince was
totally absolutely unforgettable. BRILLIANT.
the best part abt arr is tht thanks to him i met so many wondeful
pple. in a dog-eat-dog world, it was so heartening to see tht there
are still pple who believe in showing kindness and not expecting
paens of praise for it. vithur- you're my hero. i hope and pray i
get to be a part of more such events in the future.
so thts the story. 3 friends drove 300 odd kilometres to watch
arr in concert. wht they got in return was wonderful friendship,
bonding (over bad food at shady eateries and of course, arr) and an
experience of a lifetime. thank you gomzy, raghu, vithur, pavan and
nazeef. and thank you ar rahman.
