This was my 3rd Concert..after Delhi and Jaipur.
The Concert Organised by TOI was just amazing.Everything was a top-notch.The
sound quality,stage setup,the performances,crowd response..I just had a great
night to remember.
Intially i didnt want to write a review,but..I wanted to write just to
mention about one performance..and that was of Nithyashree Mahadevan.
Ofcourse,Rahman rocked and so as others..I have expereienced this in his
other concerts,but in this chennai concert..i had an oppurtunity to watch
Nithyashree perform.And this was one of the best ever i had seen in the rahman
concert.Her Aalap's and the way she sang Kanoodu Kanbathuellam..wow...I am
loosing words to describe her performance.
Shankar Mahadevan,Karthik,Neeti,Javed Ali,Madhushree gave awesome performances
too..
Is there any need to say about our boss...He started off with Jaage
Hain,Blasted the stage with Ellampughzaum,and set the stage on fire with Humma
Humma and other songs..
Intially there were bit of hiccups...but then as the show went on..we were
just transformed to alltogether a diffrent world...Which had just Rahman's
music in our heart and mind.
Highest Applause was for all the songs that Rahman sang,Chayyian
Chayyian,Nithyashree's performance.
Truly,this was an sensational concert..The song selections were great.This
trip of mine was completly worth it.
Other special thing about a Rahman concert is you come to meet other
Rahmaniacs too..and more than enjoying his songs and following his vision..all
of them are wonderfull human beings.
We had a great gang this time.In morning,we all went to Orphanage and there
were around 50 other members...Kudos to Vithur and his group..They did an
awesome job.Hats off to you guys...
Thanks to Gomzy,Nazeef,Rithika,Raghu,Sharmila and Vithur for a great company.
It wasnt just a night to remember,but a night that would stay with you in
your memories for the rest of your life.
