Keeping in mind the time period during which the music evolved, the soundtrack reflects changing tastes – from old world melodies to contemporary sounds. "The music of the film actually took six years to make because the film started six years back in 2002. The music has a very old school melody feel. But it also has other tunes so it does have a colour of different genres in it," Rahman said. When Rahman signed for the film it was to star biggies like Amitabh Bachchan and Dilip Kumar apart from one of the Khans, however *Ada* is now left with a cast of newcomers including Nauheed Cyrusi and Rahul Roy. "I think due to various reasons it was properly started two years back and it's going to get completed by next month. Sometimes films get delayed due to various reasons," Rahman said.
