I don't see why we can't do regional comparisons.  ARR is an artist
who is very popular and acclaimed in both regions, and there are
differences between Hindi and Tamil cinema industries.  Both cinemas
have their good points and their bad points.

I'm not saying ARR's track record in Hindi is perfect either.  For a
while he was doing a lot of period films.

At the very least, these days, Hindi filmmakers are a little more
willing to stretch boundaries, even if they don't always succeed.  I
see the articles and promos for upcoming Tamil films and there's
nothing different.  Maybe the cinematography and editing are flashier,
but the stories are the same.
