Yes, Its one among the other greatest composition by our Boss.
need a reason?
The mix of the sounds of nature, Air, water, thunder is all done in
one song and may be this is the only song so far I have heard with
that kind. Its supposedly a Sufi prayer. The guitar and the strings
compliment each other so well making you wonder the brilliance of
composition and its arrangement.
Yet, iT has minimal instrumentation. The "oooo" rendition will
transform me from a mere listening to a divine feeling. The first time
I had heard this song and a couple of times later I had tears roll
automatically. This song was so special to me that it almost became a
daily prayer for me to meet ARR.
I remember that day when we fans met at PVR, Bangalore and it was
decided to present a montage to our Boss on his visit to Bangalore for
the concert in 2005. There was a discussion as to what to be written
over it. The only word that came to my mind was "Only You" and I just
said this to Gops and other with the preceding line "aankhon ke pyaas
hain, is dil ki aas hain, Only you". The reason it always haunted me
was I wasn't sure if I would meet my ARR; still the prayer would
remain. And to my surprise Gops and others readily agreed. And with
the following days it rolled "I MET MY BOSS", "I SAW HIM VERY CLOSE TO
ME", "I COULD HEAR HIM LIVE, WITHOUT ELECTRONICS"
And that got recorded as a Divine intervention to me.
