Bingo Vithur .... I got the feeling  I was listening to ColdPlay when I was
listening to Meherbaan. Kwaja mere Kawaja is a rare beauty of a song sung so
soulfully by ARR. He as followed it up on a quick succession with this
beautiful piece  " Meherbaan". These 2 songs will remain evergreen in one's
memory. Would love to hear many more such melodious pieces. While on singers.
Its easy to find replacements for shaan n sonu nigam....but its tuff to find a
replacement for ARR's voice.

Cheers

Mahiya

and he has definately participated in punjabi genre too...remember Sona
Sona(wedding qwaali)..from bombay dreams..it starts wid the word
Mubarakan(which is a punjabi word and means congratulations) .. His punjabi
accent is really sweet to hear... i remember i used to listen to his words "
Mubarakan " again and again to gigle...

He is Universal..no language or distance can tie him...
He is like a breeze which travels everywhere and spreads life..

Subject: [arr] Meherbaan and A R Rahman

Meherbaan - This coldplayish song by A R Rahman is the best thing that i
have listened to off the late(No, its not a copy of any coldplay song. Not
even inspired.). This is one song that gives me goose bumps everytime i

listen to. Piano riffs, soft beats, Guitar and the voice of boss to top all
that - what more can you ask for? I like the way he goes "Meharbaaan" and
the humming that follows it is heavenly. I sometimes get the feel that no

one else can sing certain songs like the way Rahman sings. I cant imagine a
SPB or a Hariharan or a Sonu Nigam singing "Khwaja mere khwaja" as graceful
as the way Rahman did. And the happy news these days is that we get to

listen to atleast one song in his voice in every album of his these days.

One thing that amazes me the most is that though he is not a naturally
gifted singer like a Sonu Nigam or a Shaan, he is able to pull out songs of

all genres effortlessly and soulfully like no one else can. Look at the
range of songs that he has sung, from Humma humma to maa tujhe salam to
lukka chupi to Khwaja mere khwaja to New york nagaram to vellai pookal to

Pray for me brother to Tu bole. Theres nothing that he hasnt sung yet,
probably except a punjabi stuff. And all the songs that hes sung are the
kind of songs that you would call as awe-inspiring stuff. People may call

Shankar mahadevan as the best Singer- Composer, but if there is one
Composer-Singer, its only Boss.
