Personally I believe that AR Rahman is always at his best while composing romantic songs. "Paigham" from the movie Lakeer reinforces my belief. Paigham is a beautiful song composed by the Maestro and you feel in love the moment you hear it. It has a soft melody and beautiful rendition by Kavita Krishnamurthy and Shaan. Both of them sing this song to best of their ability and in a very classy fashion. Even the chorus track used in the background is mixed beautifully along with the use of flute through out the song.
This song is a remake of original tamil song, "Katre" from the movie Rhythm. The movie had songs with backdrop of air, water, fire and earth symbolically and the air that this song blows is so gentle and so melodious that it keeps ringing your ears all the time.
