First word that comes to mind.. ..when you listen to 2 of the songs from the latest AR Rehman album, Ada, is peace. These are such intoxicatingly soothing compositions that I couldnt stop humming it all day today - be it on the beach in Half-moon bay during the day, or in a nightclub later in the night. Such was the intoxication that the bazillion decibels of a nightclub couldnt suppress the feel. Havent felt like this in a long time after just one listening to a song.
Sonu's and Alka's renditions are fresh like morning dewdrops. Coupled with flute interludes, Hawa sun hawa just grows on you. Comforts you.. like a cold breeze that blows against your face on a warm summer day. I am running out of metaphors. Go listen!
