Hi,

Sorry.. forgot to mention it.. ARR won it for Sivaji.
Also, Thotta Tharani won the award for best art direction for "Vaaji Vaaji",
Shankar won the award for best conceptualisation of a song for "Oru Koodai
Sunlight".

Benny Dayal won the "rising star singer" award for Madhuraikku Pogadhedi...

And, I forgot to mention - Harris Jayaraj while speaking about ARR said that he
hadnt met ARR after HJ became a composer...The last time he had met ARR was
during the inauguration of HJ's studio.... Almost 7 years later, he got a
chance to meet ARR, and he said he was honoured to meet him and was happy to
receive the award in ARR's presence. (HJ won two awards, apparently - best
youthful album of the year (Unnale Unnale) and best youthful song (June Ponaal)

@ Vithur:
No, i couldnt meet ARR yesterday at the event...

Regards,
ARavind

the past being melodious and the current songs lacking melody. Hence

he realised that there's a communication gap - a gap about what the

audience want and what is given to them as film music. Since there are

so many constraints while making film music, it's not possible to give

what exactly the audience are looking for. To fill this gap, through

KM Music Label, he is going to come up with albums which will satisfy

the audience in terms of melody.

After all the hype and after inviting all the big names, it was a big

let down. To read more about it, visit my blog:
