Jaane Tu Ya Jaane
Naa
The film is a hit
and as expected the music has been widely appreciated. If it's #1 position for
last few weeks in succession was not good enough, the success of the film means
that this Rahman soundtrack would continue to stay on in the charts for many
more weeks.
Both 'Bachna Ae
Haseeno' and 'Singh Is Kinng' have arrived with a bang and are serious
contenders for the #1 spot. 'Bachna Ae JTYJN'!

Haseeno
Now this is quite
a smash-hit beginning for the music of this Yash Raj film which has a lot
riding
on it. Within just a few hours of it's arrival on the stands (the album
released
only over the weekend gone by), 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' has debuted straight at #2
position. The superb promo of the title song has done the trick and to think of
it, there are 5 more songs to go. Vishal-Shekhar have done it again after
'Tashan'.
With such a huge
entry into the charts, it would be quite a journey for this album to keep
itself
stable at the top. With close to 5 more weeks to go for the release of the
film,
the album would require some intense promotional campaign over the period of
time.

Singh Is
Kinng
Pritam continues
to dominate 2008 as well with 4 of his albums in Top-10 this month. After smash
hit success of 'Race' and 'Jannat' followed by a cool 'Kismat Konnection' too
entering the charts, Pritam now sees his biggest album till date - 'Kismat
Konnection - walking straight into Top-3.
The album has seen
a scattered release over last one week that has resulted in the immense demand
for the music not been meant at numerous centers

'Kismat
Konnection' continues to enjoy patronage amongst the music lovers with 'Ae
Pappi', 'Bakhuda' and now 'Move Your Body Now' also becoming popular. If the
film turns out to be a good success, Shahid and Pritam may go on to enjoy yet
another 'Jab We Met' kind of scenario.
The sole track
composed by Sajid-Wajid, 'Soniye Ve' isn't as impressive as the rest of the
album that has songs by Pritam

Love Story
2050
One would have
thought that with the arrival of two new albums in the week gone by, the sales
of 'Love Story 2050' may be adversely impacted. However, that wasn't the case
to
be as this Anu Malik score remained on stable grounds.
A couple of songs
do slow down the film's narrative

Jannat
Taking a huge fall
over the week gone by, 'Jannat' sees a 4 spot fall. Bhatts and Pritam may not
be
complaining though since the album has done much more than what was probably
expected out of it when released. The DVDs of the film have now arrived too
which would continue to keep 'Jannat' in news.

Race
Another Pritam
album which takes a fall in the week gone by is 'Race'. Yet again, it is no
cause of worry, especially for TIPS, since their own 'Kismat Konnection' is
doing well in Top-5. Enjoying an extended run of close to six months in the
charts, it was in any case time for 'Race' to make way for others in the
'race'!

Thoda Pyaar Thoda
Magic
Staying on in the
same region a week after the film's release, 'Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic' has just
been able to do some face saving business. A couple of songs were indeed much
more than just decent but Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy would prefer to move on to their
next album 'Rock On'.
The film is
looking at an early exit and even YRF has started concentrating (rightly so) on
'Bachna Ae Haseeno'. This would turn out to be a forgettable outing for
SEL.

Ada
After fighting it
out hard to see a good positioning for itself for quite a few weeks in Top-10
in
spite of zero promotion, 'Ada' sees a substantial drop in the charts. A couple
of more good albums and it would be farewell time for 'Ada' until and unless
the
film releases soon and results in the album making an impression all over
again.
It was unfair to
expect that 'Ada' would continue to keep it's sales graph high in spite of no
push from it's makers. Obviously, it is now getting ready to march out of the
charts.

Ugly Aur
Pagli
Hovering around
the bottom of the charts, 'Ugly Aur Pagli' is now waiting for it's theatrical
release. Though the music is fine and goes as per the setting of the film, it
is
expected to do better once the Mallika-Ranvir antics are seen on the big
screen.
Promotion of music
of 'Ugly Aur Pagli' is just not up to the mark. Also, makers have started
bombarding the music channels with the talkie promos (since the film releases
in
3 weeks from now), hence resulting in music taking a backseat.
