Hai Jithin/Group,

I second him for what he said... Yodha is one of the Classic Soundtracks ever
created in Malayalam - in the sense - malayalam film music started to be viewed
in a different manner. AGAIN!!! Rahman ji was the one to do it... The songs and
the movie was not at all underrated as both were blockbusters. The only thing
is its tamil and hindi versions were vulgarised in the best possible way by
directors who didnt know what soul and story the orignal movie was trying to
impart.

It was after the release of Yodha that people heard a completely different
style of music making, with extraordinary beats, blends, fusions which was
hitherto unheard or untried at all... It virtually gave a breath of fresh air
to Malayalam Filmdom and YODHA's music is still reigned as a Classic Score. If
someone is a Keralite, then he is a fan of Yodha Songs.

After this Rahman-ji couldnt continue with his inventions & Vidyasagar came and
took over malayam in one of the grandest forms ever done by a MD [sorry, but
truths should be accepted and respected, as i respect both of them in the
rightfull manner]. So this is the pre and post of YODHA Soundtrack.

One more interesting thing:- Shyama Sundara Track (by AR Rahman) for Asianet is
still considered to be one of the Classic Theme Track ever created in Malayalam
TV. So see Rahman-ji is not without a mark in every language in India ;-)

Hai guys,Hope u ppl doing fine.Very happy with the success of
Jtyjn. It truly reminded ppl that rahman sir is as youthfull as
ever. This post is regarding Yodha.I have seen many posts claiming it
as an underrated film. The fim was originally a malayalam film.In
kerala ,the soundtrack of this movie is considerd a
classic...actually an all time classic.I simply mean those words.Just
as ppl would say"ilayanila pozhikindrate" of ilayrajas or "kya hua
tera wada" of rafi sir,so is "padakali chanki"of a r rahmans sirs
from yodha a classic (in kerala).Every malayali allover the world
loves this song.the song potrays rivalary among two friends. This is
also rahmans most fun fulled song. The movie was also a big hit in
kerala. From the other songs "Kunnu kunne" is also dam,n
famous.Actually observing this song(kunnu kunne) we can c the clear
rahman touch. The rahman style of music (now prominently used by
harris jayaraj et all is very evident in this particula song.It was
in its starting stages then). It has a strong arabic feel to it. This
film being malayalam might have went unnoticed in tamil and hindi and
The dubbed version was very vulgar to.But in kerala this is an all
time classic soundtrack.

(not sure if anybody else had clarified this before)
