Hmmm… The hectic work week ended up with action packed activities through
Friday evening till early Sunday Morning. I am still feeling sleepy but
relaxed. A great fun filled weekend, as I indulged in lot of activities over
the last three days. What all? Well, here is the list.

It was great fun to see New York favorites METS playing talented Colorado
Rockies in the nail biting match at Shea Stadium, Flushing, NY. For the
first time, I saw a baseball match, so I was excited. Any remark? Well,
Americans know how to create an entertainment package deal even in their
sports. I liked the over all experience. Sure, my husband still feels that
Cricket is more exciting and challenging, so the debate goes on.

If Friday was hectic, then Saturday was 1-up. Being a super fan of Aamir
Khan since my School days, I did not want to miss his latest film 'Jaane Tu
Ya.Jaane Na' at any cost so I convinced my friend Manisha and buddy husband
MJ to go to AMC Theatre Secaccus. Well, it was worth the drive as Aamir Khan
never disappoints you. More about this movie in the review later. We
concluded the evening with a nice and quick dinner at Chillis without the
Margarita.

After the dinner, Manisha and I decided to join the 'PowerGirls' at the
Bollywood disco 'Tonic' at Times Square, NYC. It was a great pleasure to
meet new friends from New Port.

*"Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na -
(JTJN)<http://www.newsandreviews.in/index.php?blog=9&p=369&more=1&c=1&tb=1&pb=1>
"* is another successful and cool movie from Aamir Khan production. Clearly
what ever he is touching now is turning gold. Difficult to declare whether
JTJN is a Drama or a Comedy as it can fit both. The Writer-Director, Mr
Abbas has decided to pick raw, fresh and young faces to deliver his story
line and he has succeeded well. Good for him and great for Aamir Khan.

6 friends (Jai (Rats), Aditi (Meow), Ravindra (Rotlu), Jignesh, Sandhya
(Bombs), Meghna) stay together all the time. There is a special bonding
between Jai and Aditi, so much so that every one thinks, including parents,
that they are going around. So, logically they should get married. Well
everybody, except Jai and Aditi feel otherwise and that is an interesting
twist in the film.

If I am not wrong, the scenes are from St. Xavier's College, Mumbai and that
is cool to watch. Aditi is a cute looking girl from a wealthy family but
very aggressive. Jai, though comes from rich ancestral back-ground (Rathod
from Ranjhor – Rajasthan) is a cool and absolute non-violent person. He
stays with his mother Savitri in a modest way. Living in Mumbai now, since
Savitri wanted to raise her kid after her husband's death, away from Rathod
culture of fight and violence. The main lead of this movie Jai (Imran Khan)
and Aditi (Genelia D'souza) have done a great job in their debut movie.

In the beginning, all cast resort to bit of over-acting, but I thought all
managed to do a good job over-all. By the end of 30 minutes, you will get
hooked on to this movie and the cast, so bear the slow start. Guest
appearance by veteran Nasiruddin Shah, Kitu Gidwani, Jayant, Paresh Rawal,
Sohail and Arbaaz Khan has added the additional spice into this movie. The
picture has all its charm, you may want to experience in a movie – good
music (AR Rehman never goes wrong), good direction, good story line, good
pace, good drama, good comedy and a smart climax. I don't want to go deep
into the movie details as I strongly recommend you to watch it with your
family and friends, if you have not seen it yet. My rating for Jaane Tu Ya
Jaane Na is high 4 on 5 Stars.

Cheers and have a nice week ahead!
