There's competition for Himesh Reshammiya. A very close source informs me that playback singer Sukhwinder Singh has turned actor. The Chaiyya Chaiyya singer is presently shooting in Mumbai for the film, which has music by his good friend, the maestro AR Rahman. My source reveals, "All unit members are cautioned not to reveal anything on this project because they want to surprise everyone in the film fraternity. There are two heroes in this film and Sukwinder is one of the heroes. He is playing a struggling singer. AR Rahman has composed three songs and he will also do the background score. Rahman is doing this for Sukhwinder because he shares a great rapport with the singer. This film will release this year with great fanfare." Now with such musical talents involved, one expects the yet-untitled film to be a musical. But since the 'famous' action director Butta Singh is directing it, I wonder how it'll finally turn out to be.
