These were my thoughts and may be same thoughts of some members of this community, when we hear about the GREAT and NOBLE Food Distribution Services of CHENNAI and Other cities Fans.A R RAHMAN's Music and most Importantly his CHARACTER is injected into us when we hear his DIVINE MUSIC and I feel then we want to be a small part of his character,when our LOVE for his music overflows and the result is the social service thoughts that gets ignited in our souls . But I am not in CHENNAI or any other Metro City and I don't have any Like Minded Rahmanic friends to be a part of doing food distribution in my town ( Not Hyderabad ). Then, *HOW TO DO IT?* Here comes an Unkown Old woman aged about 80 years,who came to my home today.I was damn busy renovating my home and was roaming all over my town to order and get the material for constructions.The OLD WOMAN was in front of my home, sitting on the drainage cover…and I cud see that she cant see things properly. *OLD WOMAN asked me : 'Siru, Ekkada oka samvasthram kinda SHANTHAMMA undedi kada..ekkadundi,Podduna nundi vethukuthunna,Gavarosthunnadi " ? (Sir, A woman named SHANTHAMMA used to be here 1 year before,where is she ?, I am searching for her home from morning and I am unable to move anymore. )* I was damn busy as I told earlier and was about to start my bike and go out and literally I thought of saying I DON'T KNOW ( Seriously I dunno know SHANTHAMMA ). Then the thread of INDEPENDENCE DAY PLANS of this community and Food Distribution Programme of this community fans made my mind to change my answer to her. *( 1st OCCASION,WHERE I THOUGHT OF WITHDRAWING ANY HELP TO THE OLD WOMAN LIKE A COMMON MAN )* I stopped my bike and parked it aside and I went to her. *MYSELF : "Which SHANTHAMMA amma?" OLD WOMAN : " SHANTHAMMA was a BRAMHIN Woman. Teacher.She used to live somewhere in this area but I am unable to find it as my eyes r not fine and blinking as I am hungry from morning ".* I called my neighbour aunty and asked her about SHANTHAMMA. She too doesn't know.I pleaded her to enquire in the back street.She agreed.She went back street. [re]*( 2nd OCCASION,WHERE I THOUGHT OF WITHDRAWING ANY Further HELP TO THE OLD WOMAN LIKE A COMMON MAN )* The OLD WOMAN was not a beggar. She dint even ask for money or food, but was bending her head down and I can clearly see she is very hungry. MYSELF : " What Happened Amma"? *OLD WOMAN : " I am searching from morning my child,I am very hungry,I wish I can find SHANTHAMMA soon".* * I opened my pocket for giving money,then the old woman asked, OLD WOMAN : " Sir, Can u please give me 5 rupees? I will buy bread and eat,I am about to faint ". Unfortunatley I had all Hundred and Five Hundred rupee notes.I told her the same. ( 3rd OCCASION,WHERE I THOUGHT OF WITHDRAWING ANY Further HELP TO THE OLD WOMAN LIKE A COMMON MAN ) OLD WOMAN : "Sir, then please you go and buy a bread for me.I cant walk now and U If u buy bread U will have change " I went to a nearby store and asked for bread, and UNFORTUNATLEY, again only Big buns were available and I told her the same. ( 4th OCCASION,WHERE I THOUGHT OF WITHDRAWING ANY Further HELP TO THE OLD WOMAN LIKE A COMMON MAN ) * Then the old woman sat silently and bend her head down. Then a Small feeling aroused in my Soul. *"WHAT IS THE PRIDE of Being a RAHMANIC from 15 years and Tom Tom ing His Great Character to all my frnds and relatives " " WHAT IS THE PRIDE OF being a special person in my frnds circle and all my relatives,Where everyone calls me and appreciate for being a great fan of Rahman,when ever his album or song becomes hit.?" "WHAT IS THE PRIDE OF TAKING PAINS for 4 Hours like Hell and Literally pleading TAJ BANJARA hotel management to help in meeting RAHMAN ?." WHAT IS THE PRIDE of TOUCHING HIM,SHAKING HAND WITH HIM,and SHOWING my PICS WITH HIM TO ALL MY DEAR FRIENDS and GETTING PRAISES from THEM ?."* ALL THE ABOVE THINGS,WHICH I FELT GOOD AND WAS PROUD OF became *NILL*,WHEN I REALISED, I DON'T HAVE THAT GREAT CHARACTER OF HIM,Who has made songs on VANDEMATARAM, TB CAUSE, TSUNAMI CONCERT at KARAIKKAL, ONE LOVE. A R RAHMAN made most of his private albums on social causes unlike other Music Directors and HE BEING A CLEBRITY and The MOST BUSIEST COMPOSER IN INDIA has time for the NEEDY. So, I have questioned myself,* " I DON'T HAVE SMALL TIME FOR THS OLD WOMAN ?".* This was the OCCASION,Where a *RAHMANIC ROUSED* ( Now, NOT A COMMON MAN ) from My SOUL. I went upstairs and asked my mom about food, She thought I am hungry and placed food for my lunch. I immediately took an aluminium paper plate and a disposable glass from my shelf.I poured the food from my plate into it and took the food and water to downstairs and asked her to come inside as works were on progress in my home and made her sit and SHE ATE HEARTFULLY. She was more than pleased and BLESSED ME 100 times. Then My neighbour aunt came with SHANTHAMMA and the old woman recognized her. My neighbour aunt and SHANTHAMMA thanked me for my small help. The glow in the eyes of the OLD WOMAN…was unexpressable. And My frnds, You know why the OLD WOMAN came for SHANTHAMMA? *The OLD WOMAN said : " I was born and brought up in their home….I came to just see them and offer my thanks. I am ever thankful to them for their concern for me ".* My Dear Fellow RAHMANICS *MY FRIENDS, My intention behind posting this Small Personal Experince is , 1) Most of U dint meet RAHMAN and Even then We All r ready to work on behalf of Rahman, 2) Most of u have strong desire to do SUMTHING for poor in the name of RAHMAN, TIME is an Important Factor But I have relised that Most of u WILL HAVE TIME , If u just remind RAHMAN in ur hearts, 3) Most of u Have That 75np ALUMINIUM PLATE and 75np DISOSABLE Glass and Food. 4) And I know MOST OF U HAVE that RAHMANIC HEART WITHIN URSELVES. * * So, From My personal experince,I felt that not being in Chennai,Coimbotore or Hyderabad DOESN'T MATTER……They r doing their wonderful job. If U r in any CITY,TOWN,TALUKA,VILLAGE or STREET…. WHAT REALLY MATTERS IS………… A KIND HEART. Which We 3 lakh 80 thousand people call it as a RAHMANIC HEART. I had a PAUSE before doing this small kind ACT. We all RUN AWAY like ROBOTS in Routine Life being BUSY. But Today I have Realised that If we can have a small PAUSE in daily life to do good things,then I think we can have a cherishable life. For ME ….This is Just a BEGINNING for being EXTRA KIND to the NEEDY.I decided to CONTINUE this kind of small kind acts from now. And the reason for THIS CHANGE in my attitude of STARTING to help the needy instead of THINKING to help is……..GOD's Dearest Son ….A R RAHMAN. There r 1000 ways to help the needy and thru this experince I wanted to say to my fellow RAHMANICS that…This is also ONE WAY.
