Language matters. We listen english music a lot, but an english guy rarely listens hindi/tamil !!! Rahman is on the less priviledged side as other's produce mostly english music. A R R is a one man army unlike Beatles and AC/DC His music only speaks for him. The variety (number of genres, ambience, period musicals, etc) that ARR handled is far more than any other artist in the world Courage for experimentation, like delivering chinese, karnatic classical, hindustaani, Qawwaali, and western music at the same time.. Year 2004 is the best example And above all, he is an INDIAN !!!
