Many years ago, most of the indians craze about the hindi songs; then ilayaraja 
came and the tamilians starts to listen to tamil songs; but when arr came in 
1992 with roja, since then the world starts to listen to his songs disregarding 
to the language of the lyrics...

It's truly what the master had told before: The music has no language barrier...
